Year 5 and Year 6

In Year 5 and 6 children take part in a huge range of exciting experiences and activities throughout a very busy year. Children are always challenged through a broad curriculum which is current, relevant, engaging - and FUN!

We encourage all our children to be independent learners, to think deeply about their learning and to be resilient when the going gets tough.

We encourage children to develop a sense of respect and responsibility for themselves, their peers, their school and the wider world. We liaise closely with local secondary schools to prepare children for their transition into Year 7.

    Year 5/6 Class Teacher

    max.khanna@wraxallprimary.co.uk

(I'm the one on the right, before you make any smart alec remarks about my hat.)

Before I became a teacher, I did lots of other things: I was a nurse, a electronics engineer, a lawyer, an international development worker, a charity fundraiser, a school governor and a bicycle courier. (Only one of those isn't true!)

When I'm not teaching, I'll be playing one of many musical instruments or I'll be walking in the lovely woods of North Somerset or I'll have my nose buried in a book. Possibly all at the same time. Whichever it is, at least one of my own three lovely children will probably be with me too. Do say hello if you see us out and about!
